Morgan M-JPEG codec is used to compress and decompress multimedia files. A codec is a file that stores the logic used for compression and decompression of a movie or a sound file. This way, the multimedia file will be smaller, and it can be easily distributed through Internet. When you use the file, it becomes decompressed in your PC using the same codec that the author used to compress it or a similar one.

Morgan M-JPEG codec allows you to playback M-JPEG AVI files, as the ones recorded with DigiCam, WebCam, NetCam, and more video sources. It can also playback hardware M-JPEG AVI files, like those produced by Rainbow Runner, DC10, DC20, DC30 or Buz, without requiring the specific hardware codec. Morgan M-JPEG codec performs realtime software M-JPEG compression on capture cards that don´t perform hardware compression, such as Hauppauge WinTV, Miro PCTV or bt8x8 based cards. Using this codec, you will be able to edit videos in the M-JPEG format without the specific hardware codec. The videos produced with this codec can later be played back by hardware codecs.

Morgan M-JPEG codec is compatible with Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, 95, NT, Video for Windows, ActiveMovie & DirectShow, Adobe Premiere and Ulead Media Studio.
